What a Level 3 survey covers

The report describes the construction and materials, identifies defects and their likely causes, explains their significance and outlines options for repair. The inspection is the most thorough of the three levels.

Who it is suitable for

Level 3 is generally recommended for older properties, larger or unusual buildings, properties that have been extended or significantly altered, buildings in poor condition, and where the buyer intends to carry out refurbishment or extension.

Older Liverpool property

Much of Liverpool's most desirable housing is Victorian or Edwardian. Solid walls, original roofs, historic alterations and ageing services all raise questions that a building survey is designed to answer.
